Frequently asked questions
Everything transport operators ask before switching from paper proof of delivery to Transint.
What is Transint?
Transint is an offline-first proof-of-delivery (POD) and fleet-management app for South African long-haul and mining transport. A driver photographs the delivered load in the cab; Transint stamps GPS location, exact time and the seal serial onto it, then syncs it to a manager dashboard where it can be exported as an invoice-ready PDF.
Does Transint work without mobile signal?
Yes — it's offline-first. Captures are saved on the phone and queued when there's no signal, so a driver is never blocked in a dead zone. When signal returns, queued PODs sync automatically to the office.
How much does Transint cost?
Billed monthly per active truck on one graduated price ladder, with every feature included: trucks 1–20 at R600 each, trucks 21–50 at R530 each, and every truck from 51 at R450. You only pay for trucks that are active — but a truck that runs for any part of a billing cycle is billed for that cycle, so deactivating it just before your billing date won't dodge that cycle's charge. See the pricing page.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new company starts on a 30-day free trial (our free pilot) on up to 2 trucks, with every feature unlocked and no card required to begin. Around the middle of the trial we ask you to add a card so your fleet keeps running the day the trial ends — but your first subscription charge is only on day 31.
What is the R1 for?
It's for card verification — a tiny charge to check your card is real and to block fake trial accounts. It is not your subscription. Your first subscription charge only happens when your 30-day free trial ends.
Does Transint see or store my bank card details?
No. Payments are handled by Paystack. Your card and bank account details are entered directly on Paystack's secure checkout. Transint never sees, receives, collects or stores your card number or bank details — it only receives a secure token from Paystack to charge the amount you authorise.
Is my delivery data secure and POPIA compliant?
Each company's records are isolated from every other company on the platform, access is protected by authentication, and personal information is handled in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
How long is my data kept?
Each record, photo and document is kept for 7 years from the day it was created, then deleted automatically. When you delete your account in the app (once anything owed for services already used is settled), your records, photos and documents are deleted; copies a corporate customer received stay until it deletes its account or their 7 years are up. Billing records are kept for 7 years, as tax law requires. See the Privacy Policy.
What devices does Transint run on?
It runs in the web browser on Android and iPhone and can be added to the home screen like an app. Managers use the dashboard from any browser. No app-store download is required.
What is on a Transint proof of delivery?
Each POD carries the photo of the delivered load, the GPS location, the exact capture time, the seal serial, the truck registration, and the manifest and consignment details — exportable as a professional PDF with your own logo.
Can I add drivers and trucks, and can teammates be removed?
Managers can add trucks and invite drivers or other managers, and assign specific trucks to specific drivers. Trucks can be activated, deactivated or removed. Teammates can be added to a company but are not removed through the app.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel any time by contacting Exluma. Cancellation stops future billing; fees already charged for the current period are not refundable except where the law requires.
